VinniexCharley - 'Sweethearts' Keychains

Anyway, this is just an adorkable design I made for some VinniexCharley keychains.  I made about 7 keychains total ( if you don't count the ones that didn't survive 'the process' ) and here is a picture of 2 slightly different variations.  They are made of plastic, with a clear, heat pressed enamel coating on top to make them smooth and shiny.  I also made the chain parts entirely myself- stringing the links together, stringing the beads, doing the tiger tails and crimping, and attaching the lobster claws and charms.  I have learned that I will never be a jeweler, for I am far too klutzy.  My floor is strewn with stray beads and and sterling silver chain links.  For every bead or link I attached, at least 3 popped out of my fingers and got lost on the floor beforehand

The one in the top left is slightly lighter in color, while the one with the beaded heart chain is darker.  I played around with different approaches to try and see what kind of color saturations I could get each time.  Also, there are a few other variations I did, like a different style heart shape and the keychain part attaches slightly behind Vinnie's head to allow the keychain to hang more in a diagonal manner ( which I actually prefer on my keyrings ), but I don't have any photos of those included here because I haven't done the enamel coating for them yet.

Anyway, these things are always fun to make and I'm working on more BMFM designs ( after I finish that danged Apriltello one I promised Aery 9_9 ).  The little joyful spirit of this keychain was inspired by Tom Tataranowicz's most recent email conversations with a fellow VinniexCharley wanker, in which he stated 'they are soul mates'. It made my little lovesick heart beat ^_^
