This song is sooooo sexy ( I left out the last verse which is a little too suggestive XD ) and one day while listening to it, I got this idea. Originally it was going to be some kind of solar eclipse in the background, but with the title "Flames", making a burning sun seemed appropriate. Believe it or not, creating and painting the sun was 10 times easier than painting the characters. I decided to go for a negative shading approach which is hard for my brain to grasp working backwards, because I'm used to applying shadows, not light. When I tried a gradient style of shading like I normally do, eloquently pointed out that Vinnie was starting to look like a 'burnt marshmallow". LOL. So I did a combination of gradient with a hard, negative shading layer, and it seems to work.

Also, I went ahead and marked this mature, despite you really can't see anything. But ever since some crazy DA user started screaming "The power of Christ compells you!" and throwing Holy Water all over me for my sinful depicition of Hunter and Alethia, I'm not taking any chances XD
